What to know before you buy
- Club membership is usually separate from the HOA. Ask whether it is equity, social or full golf, and what the initiation fee is.
- Lots on a hole's left side (for right-handed players) see more stray balls.
- Tee-box and green-side lots can be busy at dawn; mid-fairway lots tend to be quieter.
- Check the course's long-term status. Some older courses have been redeveloped.
